Bismuth Titanium Colours

Heubach has developed a new range of yellow inorganic hybrid pigments with universal applicability in coatings and plastics : the BiTan colours.

These products have been produced using an innovative and proprietary method which supports bismuth vanadate yellows on a titanium-based carrier.

The BiTan range has been designed to replace the well-established blends of high-performance organic pigments with titanium dioxide. These blends suffer from insufficient weather-fastness due to the photo-catalytic effect of titanium dioxide and also from lack of saturation due to the whitening effect of TiO2.

BiTans offer the following combination of properties :-

The BiTan pigments fall within the CI Pigment Yellow 184 and CI Pigment Yellow 53 definitions.
