Ecopaque : environmentally-acceptable pigments
for the paint and plastic industries

Heubach produces two series of Ecopaque pigments which are intended for use as lead-free alternatives to lead chromates and molybdates :-

Ecopaque "12" series for paints and coatings

This range is based on the use of Heucodur nickel or chromium titanates, high-performance organic pigments and some extenders. Their tinting strengths and pigment volume concentrations are similar to the inorganic pigments they are designed to replace, allowing easy subsitution. They also have the advantage of having much greater opacity, compared to simple oragnic pigments.

They are recommended for use in the following systems :-

 ECOPAQUE reference   Shade §

 Yellow 12 113

 Yellow 12 105

 Yellow 12 180

 Orange 12 250

 Red 12 303

 Red 12 300

 Red 12 320

Ecopaque "13" series for plastics  and high-temperature systems

This range is based on the use of Heucodur high-temperature inorganic colours, together with high-performance organic pigments. Due to their very good fastness properties, these pigments are very suitable for use in systems where both temperature resistance as well as environmental compability is necessary.

They are recommended for use in the following systems :-
