Heubach has recently developed a new class of high-performance yellow, orange and red pigments - "Tico". They are produced using a patent-pending process whereby organic colourants are bonded to the surface of titanate carrier pigments. This gives a far better degree of synergy between the inorganic and organic components than normal wet or dry blending technique.

These titanium-based colourants exhibit maximum gloss, opacity, strength and durability, which cannot be achieved with today's well-established blends of high-performance organics and white or yellow titanium or bismuth vanadate pigments.

Tico's are low-dusting and are as easy to disperse as well-finished inorganic pigments. They are recommended for use in coatings and plastics where both high colour saturation and good hiding power are required.
