PACKAGING WASTE
the Producer Responsibility Regulations

It has always been the aim of James M. Brown Limited to minimise the quantity of packaging materials which it uses - commensurate always with adequate protection of our products during transport to, and storage by, our customers.

For example, in addition to our normal 25 kg paper sacks, we are also able to offer both zinc oxide and zinc phosphate in flexible IBCs, which both reduce manual handling by the customer and give reduced packaging weight per tonne of product. The use of multi-trip IBCs may also be possible, where the product volume taken by a customer is sufficient.

JMB has been a member of the Valpak organisation for several years and has agreed to take part in its scheme to meet our "consumer information" obligations under the "Packaging Regulations". Please click
here to see a copy of our current Valpak compliance certificate, confirming that we have met our recovery and recycling obligations for the year 2006.

Detailed information on the types and weights of the packaging used for any of our products is available on request.
